Etz Chaim – D55 Plate with Different Spindle Options FAQs
What are Etz Chaim D55 Torah rollers and why are they called the Tree of Life?
Etz Chaim, meaning “Tree of Life,” refers to the wooden rollers (Atzei Chayim) attached to both ends of a Sefer Torah scroll. The name comes from Proverbs 3:18 and symbolizes the Torah as the spiritual lifeline of the Jewish people. Our D55 model features a solid dark wood base with a beautiful burned-in design, high-quality stain, and optional .925 Sterling Silver spindles for enhanced elegance and durability.
Are these Etz Chaim D55 Torah rollers kosher and halachically reliable?
Yes. All our Etz Chaim Torah rollers are handcrafted with the highest attention to quality and Jewish law. They are assembled with double interlocking rollers and include a protective Klaf Guard™ to safeguard the sacred parchment. Every piece is designed to meet strict halachic requirements for strength, balance, and respectful use in synagogue or private settings.
What spindle options are available for the D55 Etz Chaim Torah rollers?
The base D55 model comes with a solid dark wood plate featuring our unique burned-in design. You can upgrade to various premium .925 Sterling Silver spindle options for a more luxurious finish. A pair of silver memorial plates can also be added for an additional cost. All options maintain the same high-quality construction and custom fit.
How do I get a custom fit for my Torah scroll with these Etz Chaim rollers?
For a perfect custom fit, simply provide us with the exact height of your klaf or Torah scroll when placing the order. Our rollers are carefully assembled to be approximately 2 inches taller than the scroll for easy handling and rolling, ensuring smooth operation while protecting the parchment.
Do these Torah rollers include protection for the Sefer Torah scroll?
Yes. Every Etz Chaim D55 set is equipped with our exclusive Klaf Guard™ and double interlocking rollers. This design helps prevent damage to the delicate parchment, ensures secure rolling, and maintains the integrity of the Torah scroll for generations of use.
Can I add engraving or memorial plates to the D55 Etz Chaim rollers?
